Tall and Skinny Book Swap
I am hosting a Tall and Skinny book swap on CCSwaps. Below are the front and back covers:
I couldn't find a picture of a child sitting the way I needed for the tortoise, so I turned my youngest son Luke into a model for the day!
The background on the front side (fish) was created with Stamp Zia's watercolor washes on regular cardstock - I love the muted effect!

Textured Gesso - Background Noise Sketchbook
The next challenge in our Background Noise sketchbooks was Textured Gesso. I realized that I happen to have very "thin" gesso, and plan on trying a different brand in the future. I did have fun with this challenge anyhow and really liked the results.
