Another Background Noise #12

Here is the lastest background in my Background Noise Sketchbook. This was was using shaving cream and alcohol inks. Click on picture so that you can read the directions.


Tall and Skinny Book Swap

I am hosting a Tall and Skinny book swap on CCSwaps. Below are the front and back covers:

The background on the front side (fish) was created with Stamp Zia's watercolor washes on regular cardstock - I love the muted effect!






I couldn't find a picture of a child sitting the way I needed for the tortoise, so I turned my youngest son Luke into a model for the day!

Textured Gesso - Background Noise Sketchbook

The next challenge in our Background Noise sketchbooks was Textured Gesso. I realized that I happen to have very "thin" gesso, and plan on trying a different brand in the future. I did have fun with this challenge anyhow and really liked the results.
